Launching in a few weeks
From product idea to shipped order, in one shared flow.
Fewer handoffs, fewer mistakes, faster orders.
Everyone plugs into one hub.
Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Production, Sales, and the customer all work from the same configuration — nobody's guessing what another team decided.
Marketing
Defines a new product line in a few steps to get development moving.
Sales
Accurate quotes in minutes, not days.
Engineering
Turns the product into rules and BOMs once, and stops fielding one-off questions.
Planning
Plans production from orders that are already validated.
Purchasing
Buys exactly the parts each order calls for.
Production
Works from a BOM that's already validated.
Customer
Configures it themselves and gets a validated spec sheet — no call required.
Each team has its own color, and throughout Bomcast that color shows who owns what: every column of a selection table and every tagged code.
Works like a spreadsheet. Thinks like a configurator.
The same path every configuration follows, from a customer's first pick to a priced, validated spec sheet.
01Configure
Customers or reps pick a row from each selection table, and the product code builds itself, with its description right beside it.
- Each table is one option your customer picks: series, type, size…
- The black square marks the column that goes into the product code.
- Pick a row in each table and the code and description write themselves.

02Validate
Combinations are tagged (invalid, future, doesn't apply), and an option that would complete an invalid code switches off before anyone can pick it.
- Each row is a rule: blank means any value, COY|COT means either one.
- The tag decides: Invalid blocks it, Future shows but can't be picked, Doesn't apply hides that table.
- The cell color shows which team owns the rule.

03Build the BOM
Each component's code, description, and quantity are formulas, just like in Excel. The BOM builds itself, and every valid code lands in your Components catalog.
- This is the BOM of one configuration: the code that was picked.
- Each part's code and quantity are formulas, so they change with every pick.
- The cost comes from your parts catalog.

04Price it
Line costs come from your catalog, and a single pricing formula prices every configuration, with its minimum, maximum, and average.
- One formula prices every configuration.
- One row for each configuration you track.
- Minimum, maximum and average: your price range at a glance.

Open the ordering pageThe customer configures on their own ordering page: options that don't fit switch off and say why, the code and price fill in, and it goes straight to the cart.
- What the customer picks builds the code, piece by piece.
- Options that don't fit are switched off and say why.
- The code, description and price update with every pick.
- Marketing customizes the entire look and feel of the page: colors, images, and the drawing of every option.

Pick one option in each section. Options that don't work with what you already chose are switched off, and the model code above fills in as you go.

One parameter, everywhere.
Add a column to a selection table once, then use it as a chip in any formula: the code, the description, the BOM, and the price all read from it. Pick a size and watch it travel.

Let customers configure it themselves.
Buyers can get their own account type, separate from sales and support, to configure a product directly on the site — through the same selectors, validation, and pricing a rep would use.
Rep-assisted
A rep configures with the customer, live — same selectors, same validation.
Buyer self-serve
The customer logs in, configures on their own, and submits a spec sheet that's already validated and priced.
Try the ordering pageEvery self-served configuration is time your sales and support teams don't spend walking someone through it by hand.
Adding a product line is configuration, not code.
Draw the selection tables, tag the combinations you can't build, and write the formulas for the code, the BOM, and the price — just like a spreadsheet. The configurator is ready for that line, with no custom build.
Built for anything with a model number, not a single SKU.
If your product line is sold as a combination of options, and not every combination can be built, Bomcast fits it.

Talks to your ERP, at whatever level you need.
Not every customer wants the same depth of integration. Bomcast meets your ERP wherever you are.
Export
Structured BOM and spec sheet exports your ERP can import — CSV, PDF, or your preferred format.
Sync
Validated BOMs and pricing push straight into your ERP automatically. No manual re-entry.
Two-way integration
Live checks against your ERP — inventory, part numbers, order status — while the customer configures.
Why teams switch to it.
No invalid configuration reaches production.
Tags run before the order does: an option that would leave an invalid code can't even be picked, so the BOM that reaches your shop floor is always buildable.
Quotes happen while the customer is still on the call.
Cost comes from your Components catalog and price from a formula on the same tables — no separate pricing pass.
One source of truth for code, BOM, and price.
Everything downstream — parts, price, and spec sheet — reads from the same configuration.
See what every rule touches before you change it.
The relations map links each tag to the tables it limits and to everything that reads them: code, description, components, and price.
What people ask us.
Can I bring my data from Excel?
Yes. The tables work like a spreadsheet: copy and paste from Excel, drag to fill cells, select ranges, and move columns.
How long does it take to set up a product line?
The basics take a few minutes. Capturing every detail takes a few hours. It depends on how complex your product is.
Who sets it up?
Your team, with setup support from us to get you started.
How much does it cost?
We're finalizing our plans. Sign up for early access and you'll hear about them first.
